Title of Event: Industry Day for Nebulizers, Compressors, and Accessories Audience: Manufacturers of Nebulizers, Compressors, and Accessories When: January 21 - 22, 2021 Where: Virtual The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Prosthetic Clinical Management Program (PCMP) has identified Nebulizers, Compressors, and Accessories as potential candidates for standardization as set forth in VHA s PCMP Charter signed by VA s Under Secretary for Health on February 9, 2001. Purpose of Industry Day: VA s current IDIQ contract for Nebulizers will expire within the next 12 months. VA s purpose in hosting this Industry Day is to collaborate with manufacturers of Nebulizers, Compressors, and Accessories to define minimum technical requirements for the upcoming solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 339112 (Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing). The VA is interested in the procurement of both the Nebulizers, Compressors, and Accessories. The specifications of the Nebulizers, Compressors, and Accessories are included in the document titled Minimum Technical Requirements (MTR) s below. If your company manufactures Nebulizers, Compressors, and Accessories and your products fit within the MTR s stated below and your company would like to participate in the Industry Day, please complete the attached Industry Day Request form included at the end of this notice and send to Darrell Williamson and/or Zachary Wilcox (contact information included below) by January 06, 2021 5:00 PM EST. Due to limited space availability at possible VA locations, this Industry Day can only accommodate Original Equipment Manufacturers. The VA is unable to accommodate the numerous authorized resellers for Nebulizers, Compressors, and Accessories. However, VA is interested in gathering information from the authorized resellers that might be interested in the solicitation once released. Response from industry will assist in the determination if this requirement will be set aside for small business. The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), Strategic Acquisition Center (SAC) is issuing this RFI to determine capability and industry feedback of companies from all socioeconomic categories in providing Nebulizers, Compressors, and Accessories In Home Use. SCOPE OF WORK: The intent of this action is to streamline procurements of Nebulizers, Compressors, and Accessories across the VA and to establish contract that will be utilized on an enterprise-wide level. Nebulizers, Compressors, and Accessories In Home Use improve patient care by permitting patients to live independent. The Veterans Health Administration is America s largest integrated health care system, providing care at 1,240 health care facilities, including 170 medical centers and 1,061 outpatient sites of care of varying complexity (VHA outpatient clinics), serving 9 million enrolled Veterans each year.
