Questions Received from Vendors Surgical Lighting System Solicitation 36C10G21Q0001 This requirement will be in accordance with (IAW) the Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) clause 52.211-6, Brand Name or Equal which requires the quoter indicate that each product being offered as an equal product to the Steris Harmony Air® A-Series brand name Surgical Lighting System outlined in Error! Not a valid bookmark self-reference., below. I believe this error should be referencing one of other documents attached to the solicitation posting. Can you please clarify? Answer: This paragraph should read This requirement will be in accordance with (IAW) the Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) clause 52.211-6, Brand Name or Equal which requires the quoter indicate that each product being offered as an equal product to the Steris Harmony Air® A-Series brand name Surgical Lighting System outlined in Table 1, below. There are multiple options/configurations of the Harmony A-Series Surgical Light. The customer requirements will determine the final configuration for each location. Additional components and accessories not listed on the NX item spreadsheet may be required for these configurations. How will these types of situations be handled? Would it make sense to expand the item offering to account for these situations? Answer: If customers need additional items that are not on this solicitation, they will procure them if needed through other means. No additional items will be added to this RFQ at this time. Page 6 Attachment D Solicitation Provisions Volume I seems to say that a quote is required in volume I: THE SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS CHART STATING WHERE SCs ARE REFLECTED IN TECHNICAL LITERATURE MUST BE INCLUDED WITH YOUR QUOTE . Does that mean that a redacted quote without prices should be included in Volume I? Answer: No. Volume I should consist of technical literature and the Salient Characteristics Chart (The Chart can be found in the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Notice on page 7) No pricing should be included in Volume I. Page 6 Volume II the VA is seeking volume discounts. Can the volume discounts be represented as a bottom-line discount, or must it be reflected in each line item unit cost? Answer: Discounts should be reflected in each line item unit cost.
