The Department of Veteran Affairs, Office of Construction and Facilities Management (CFM), Acquisition Support, Eastern Region, 425 I Street NW, Washington, DC is conducting market research/seeking sources from ALL businesses with special emphasis on small business Architect-Engineering (AE) firms that are classified under one or more of the following small business programs: (1) Section 8(a), (2) HUB Zone, (3) Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), (4) Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB), (5) Service-Disabled Veterans-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), and/or (6) Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB). The place of performance is Veteran Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), 423 E 23rd Street New York, New York 10010. The NAICS code is 541330. CFM is seeking a qualified AE firm to provide accurate and thorough documentation of existing utility/MEP conditions (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, IT, fire suppression, fire alarm systems, medical gas, pneumatic tube systems, etc.) contained within select existing buildings at the VAMC campus. Work requirements include 1) Performing an As-Built conditions survey above and below the ceilings using LIDAR, physical observation, physical measurement, photography and other means as required to thoroughly identify all utilities and infrastructure components of delineated areas 2) Documenting through a 3D Revit (most recent version) model identifying and graphically showing the utilities/MEPs with the physical characteristics and conditions of size, location, function and any other pertinent identification information (i.e. electrical conduit, fire suppression pipe supply or drain, plumbing pipe supply or drain, cable tray, etc.). Currently, no solicitation exists; therefore, please do not request a copy of a solicitation. Business contractors having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought.
