STATEMENT OF WORK REPAIR OF COOLING TOWER SERIAL #17-812588 BACKGROUND The St Petersburg Regional Office has 2 Evapco cooling towers & 2 400-ton magnetic bearing chillers that were installed brand new in 2017. The system provides chilled water to 2 buildings, #46 & #47cooling approximately 204,000 square feet. PURPOSE To remove and replace an inoperable motor, shaft & fan through the top of the cement enclosure around the cooling towers. SCOPE & PERFORMANCE OF OBJECTIVES To remove and replace a motor, shaft, and fan out of cooling tower #1. A lift plan needs to be established with the COR depending on the weight of the motor shaft and fan. There is plenty of accessibility for a boom truck and or crane. Contractor will provide all tools & materials necessary to power down cooling tower #1, remove existing motor, shaft, bearings, and fan. Install new OEM motor, shaft, bearings & fan. Power up unit and verify proper operation. PERIOD & PLACE OF PERFORMANCE Period of performance Monday Sunday. 0600-1800hrs. Cooling towers are in the main parking lot behind Bldg. 46 & 47.
