The contractor will furnish all labor, materials, and equipment to collect and dispose of trash from the Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Regional Office, 345 Perry Hill Road, Montgomery, AL, to an approved disposal site. Contractor will provide one (1) eight (8) yard dumpster. The dumpster shall be an open top dumpster with side slide openings to allow ease of access. The containers shall be standard commercial-industrial type of heavy gauge metal construction and designed for mechanized handling. The containers shall be freshly painted at the start of the contract and periodically during the contract to maintain a pleasant appearance. The container shall be marked with the Contractor name and contact information. The contractor shall perform all maintenance, repair and cleaning of all equipment and components associated with the unit.

Interested parties should watch for the issuance of the solicitation and associated documents on or about 23 December 2021. The solicitation will be issued as a total Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set Aside (SDVOSB) under NAICS code 562111, with a size standard of $41.5M. The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veteran Benefits Administration, Support Services Division 345 Perry Hill Road, Montgomery AL 36109-4551 has a requirement for a contractor to furnish all labor, material, equipment, repairs/maintenance, supplies, transportation, management, and supervision necessary to perform all Solid Waste Refuse Collection and Disposal Services at a fixed rate fee. The Contractor must furnish dumpster and removal waste services. Contractor will provide one (1) eight (8) yard dumpster. The dumpster shall be an open top dumpster with side slide openings to allow ease of access. The contractor shall perform all maintenance, repair and cleaning of all equipment and components associated with the unit. The contractor will assume full responsibility for compliance with all applicable federal, state, city, and county laws, rules and regulations governing removal, recycling of waste materials. Hazardous waste does not apply to this service. Contractor must use EPA approved dump sites. The VBA facility service location collection shall be three days a week between 12 AM and 7 AM, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Any trash or garbage scattered by the contractor on the Regional Office grounds shall be recovered and removed by the contractor. The pickup areas must be left in a clean and sanitary condition. Certification and Accreditation ( C&A) requirements do not apply, and a Security Package is not required. Period of Performance will be for a base year and four one-year option periods, with the option to renew on an annual basis.
