Question: There are two references to systems that could be referred to as CDW in the RFI and Draft PWS. In the RFI document, there are reference to a Clinical Data Warehouse in Section 3.2 Capability Statement #3. In the Draft PWS, Section 3.0 Scope of Work, #3 states "Provide VA with improved hospitalization reporting based on medical database queries against the Veterans Health Administration s (VHA s) Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW) and VBA s Corporate Database." Can the Government clarify what systems are being referenced with the respective terms "Clinical Data Warehouse" and "Corporate Data Warehouse?" And if these systems are not the same, can the Government provide additional information about each? For example, an entity relationship diagram(s), logical data model(s) for each, the technology platform used for each, and key interfaces relevant to MCP. Answer: The Clinical Data Warehouse" (CDW) and "Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW) are both the same thing. The VHA s Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW) is the Veteran Health Administration s data repository for all health care related data. Please note that VBA s Corporate Database is the Veterans Benefits Administration s data repository for all disability compensation related decisions. The CDW and VBA Corporate Database are separate and distinct. Please see attached documents named CDW-Domain-Layout , VIReC Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW) Domain Descriptions and Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW) which provide details of the CDW.
