U006--VR&E Self-Employment Services RFI

Notice ID:36C10D27Q0008

The VA Veterans Benefits Administration’s Veteran Readiness & Employment program is issuing an RFI—not a solicitation—to explore industry partnership models for helping disabled Veterans pursue self-employment, entrepreneurship, and small-business ownership; responses are for information only and cannot form a binding contract. VA seeks partners with demonstrated expertise in business planning, feasibility and market assessments, entrepreneurial training, financial planning, regulatory compliance, mentorship, startup incubation, and access to business-support networks. The goal is to supplement existing VR&E self-employment services, help Veterans evaluate business viability and develop stronger business plans, and inform VA’s acquisition strategy and Performance Work Statement. Interested organizations would need to describe their experience, service-delivery model, referral responsiveness, consultant qualifications, past performance, partnerships, quality/performance management, success metrics, and capacity to serve multiple VA regions. The Self-Employment Track currently serves about 500 Veterans annually across 56 VA Regional Offices nationwide, and future contracts may be awarded by four regions.
