Which option works best for the government? Would the government prefer to wipe the SSDs free of charge, with the manufacturer providing the necessary instructions? No Would the government allow bizhub SECURE to be installed on the units? No Would the government like the manufacturer to remove the SSDs and hand them over at the end of the contract term for an additional cost? Yes Can the VA please provide black & white and color historical volume information from the current fleet of devices they are looking to replace? Please indicate for the volume provided if it is per device or for the entire fleet. Also if it is a monthly or annual volume. The 75K was the color count. The 320K was the black and white count for the 5 color and the 8 black and white. For just the 5 color machines, looking at 75K color and 55K in black and white. These are based on annual volume. The SOW has a bullet point on pg 9 that states : Smartcard (HSPD-12 PIV) authentication capabilities. Can the VA clarify if the devices just need to be capable of supporting this feature or if this feature needs to be implemented upon successful award and implementation of the new fleet? Needs to be implemented upon successful award and implementation of the new fleet. The SOW states the lease will begin upon date of award. Can this be changed to upon date of acceptance of delivery and installation? Yes. Can the VA provide meter reads for both black and white and color off of the current devices? See answer to question #2 Can the VA clarify if the devices need to have HSPD PIV card readers and software functionality installed upon delivery or do the devices just need to be capable of supporting it? Need functionality installed upon delivery.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Benefits Administration, VA Reginal Office, Waco, TX, has a requirement for a 60-month Lease with a Flat-Rate Monthly Fee plan for 25 new Multi-Functional Devices (MFD), 5 full color and 20 black and white, which includes all consumable supplies (except paper). The procurement is a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this requirement will be 532420 with a size standard of $40 million. Any resultant contract will be a single firm-fixed contract award with a 12-month base period of performance, with four (4) 12-month options periods. The tentative issue date for the actual solicitation is 30-60 days from this posting. Quotes will be due 30 days after the issuance of any solicitation.
