Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this RFI/Sources Sought in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e). The Veterans Benefit Administration s (VBA) is soliciting information and compiling market research for the potential procurement of Plantronics W8220M Wireless Headset Systems or Equal Brand Headset System. Background VBA is interested in a cost-effective purchase of headsets as required for new employees and as periodic replacements for failed equipment. This RFI is to identify potential, authorized Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) or any other Socio-Economic businesses capable of delivery of Plantronics W8220M Wireless Headset System or Equal In Accordance With (IAW) . Description of Associated Deliverables: Salient Characteristics: -Up to 13 hours of talk time -DECT 6.0 to meet VA IT compliance requirements - Noise-canceling microphone with Close Conversation Limiting - Blocks background noise and nearby conversations. - Multi device connectivity. - Wireless A formal Request for Quote (RFQ) and ensuing procurements may or may not result from this RFI/Sources Sought. Performance Details Period of Performance: Is there a lead time for delivery for this or similar products? If so, detail the length of expected delivery. The Period of Performance (PoP)/Delivery will be listed on the Contract by the Contract Officer. Type of Contract: Firm-fixed price Place of performance: The delivery of headsets will be detailed in the solicitation. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME This request for capability information, socio-economic, FSS contract information and does not constitute a request for quote; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. If your organization has the potential capacity to perform these contract services, please provide the following information: 1) Organization name, address, email address, website address, telephone number, business size, NAICS code; DUNS, socio-economic category, SIN Category and GSA Schedule; and 2) Tailored capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort, with appropriate documentation supporting claims of manufacture and/or authorized distribution. 3) Does your company manufacture the items in accordance with the Limitations on Subcontracting (see FAR 52.219-14, 52.219-27, and 13 C.F.R. § 125.6) or supply the product of a small business manufactured in the United States? In order to qualify as a small business concern for a small business set-aside, an offeror must either manufacture the item in accordance with the Limitations on Subcontracting (see FAR section 52.219-14, 52.219-27 and 13 C.F.R. § 125.6) or supply the product of a small business made in the United States. The government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to 1) Provide Plantronics Headset consistent with the brand or Equal and scale with those described in this notice and otherwise anticipated. 2) Secure and apply the full range of technical resources required to successfully perform similar requirements. 3) Provide Plantronics W8220M Wireless Headset Systems or Equal Brand Headset System under a firm-fixed priced acquisition contract.
