DA01--RFI Action Only Healthcare Data Auditing Billing and Coding Optimization Software

Notice ID:36C10B27Q0073

The VA Office of Information & Technology is conducting an RFI/market research for a future enterprise-wide, cloud-based or hybrid, modular Healthcare Data Auditing, Billing, and Coding Optimization Software capability to support VHA coding staff across geographically distributed facilities. The desired solution should improve coding and billing accuracy, timeliness, consistency, and traceability; provide configurable workflows and audit trails; and support coding/encounter management, clinical documentation integrity, claim editing and compliance, reporting/analytics, and secure standards-based integration with VistA and other VA clinical, billing, identity, and enterprise data services. It must meet federal cybersecurity, privacy, identity, records, accessibility, hosting, continuity, implementation, training, support, transition, and government data-rights/portability requirements, with transparent pricing and licensing terms. This RFI is solely for market research and planning, does not commit VA to an acquisition or award, and states that no funds have been authorized or obligated and respondents will not be compensated. Interested providers are asked to supply company and socioeconomic profile information, recommended architecture and available versus planned capabilities, interface/data-rights/pricing/licensing/implementation/risk information, and acquisition-structure recommendations to inform VA strategy and potential set-aside determinations.
