The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Procurement, Acquisition, and Logistics (OPAL), Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 23 Christopher Way, Eatontown, New Jersey, intends to enter into a firm-fixed price contract for brand name Digi-Trax/HemaTrax Unity Blood Bank Bar Code Printer Solution.   This serves as notification that the Agency has justified consolidation Digi-Trax/HemaTrax Unity Blood Bank Bar Code Printer Solution procurement. The Digi-Trax/HemaTrax Unity Blood Bank Bar Code Printer Solution is essential to support the mission of the VA enterprise. The benefits of the acquisition would substantially exceed the benefits that would be derived from any alternative contracting approaches. As this effort will be restricted to Vendor Information Page verified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) providers, there is no impact to small business, most specifically SDVOSB concerns. Therefore, the determination has been made that consolidation is necessary and justified.
