The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Electronic Health Record Modernization (OEHRM) has a requirement for no more than 45 OEHRM employees to attend Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) 2019 located at Orange County Convention Center (OCCC), 9800 International Drive, Orlando, Florida, 32819. The proposed source for the conference registration is HIMSS. Per Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1), for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. A Sole Source Justification has been prepared and approved in support of this effort, and is attached.
