Page 2 of 2 Page 2 of 2 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Procurement, Acquisition and Logistics, Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 23 Christopher Way, Eatontown, New Jersey, intends to issue a request for a new work modification to existing contract 36C10B19C0019 with Cerner Government Services, Inc., located at 10200 Abilities Way, Kansas City, KS 66111. This firm-fixed-priced modification will provide for additional support services for the installation, configuration testing, integration, maintenance of two new laboratory devices into the existing Cerner Millennium PathNet Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), additional Application Management Services for direct support of the deployed Genomic Helix Phase II effort, and additional training services for virtual Laboratory Information Manager (LIM) user(s) and application/system administration training for this legacy critical clinical system. Based on Market Research, the TAC intends to issue and award this modification on a sole source basis utilizing the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) , as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1 entitled, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. However, in accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii), all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The proposed period of performance will co-term with the existing agreement, which continues for another 7-month period.
