THIS IS A Request for Information ONLY. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information & Technology (OIT), Infrastructure Operations (IO), National Data Center Operations & Logistics (NDCOL), Philadelphia Information Technology Center (PITC) strives to provide high quality, effective, and efficient Information Technology (IT) services to those responsible for providing care to the Veterans at the point-of-care as well as throughout all the points of the Veterans health care in an effective, timely and compassionate manner. VA depends on Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) systems to meet mission goals. The VA requires materials and installation service for a fiber optic and copper Category 6A (CAT6A) structured cabling solution for a fifty-six (56) cabinet data center expansion in the PITC Data Center. The contractor shall adhere to VA s Infrastructure Standard for Telecommunications Spaces; a copy of which will be provided during the site survey. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. This notice does not commit the VA to contract for any supply or service. Further, the VA is not seeking quotes, bids or proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this request for information notice. The VA will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. Submittals will not be returned to the responder. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future RFQ or IFB or RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Governmentwide Point of Entry. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the Governmentwide Point of Entry for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The anticipated NAICS code is: 238210, Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors with a size standard of with a size standard of $19 Million. Attached is a copy of the Draft PITC End of Row Expansion Performance work statement (PWS). VA is requesting that Interested Contractors provide feedback on the draft PWS and recommendations.
