Amendment Sources Sought Notice vIPer Warranty Services THIS IS A Sources Sought Notice ONLY. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Information & Technology desires to procure vIPer warranty services. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. This notice does not commit the VA to contract for any supply or service. Further, the VA is not seeking quotes, bids or proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this source sought notice. The VA will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. Submittals will not be returned to the responder. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future RFQ or IFB or RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Governmentwide Point of Entry. A brief synopsis of the required product is provided below: Require extended warranty services for repair that shall include the labor, parts, material, tools and equipment to repair and/or restore to proper operation General Dynamics manufactured vIPer secure voice equipment, which is working improperly, or which has become inoperative through normal wear and usage. General Dynamics C4 Systems is the sole developer, manufacturer, and supplier of the U.S. Government approved Sectera® vlPer secure Voice over IP encryptor. While the Sectera® vlPer Phone is a proprietary design, the embedded security complies with Secure Communications Interoperability Protocol (SCIP) Security, Performance, and Interoperability standards, allowing it to communicate with other Type 1 SCIP products, including the STE. Sectera® vIPer Universal Secure Phone provides the latest technology for both non-secure and secure, end-to-end Voice over IP and analog networks, eliminating the need for multiple desktop phones. SCIP and Crypto Modernization compliant, the vIPer phone is the only VolP phone certified to protect information classified Top Secret/SCI and below including Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU). The vIPer phone supports multiple keysets for U.S. government sponsored interoperability (e.g., NATO and coalition). Description Part no.
