MARCH 1, 2023 UPDATE: VENDOR QUESTIONS/FAA RESPONSES HAVE BEEN ADDED AS AN ATTACHMENT TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO RESPONSE REQUIRED. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement to provide a workforce scheduling system with the ability to manage the schedules of 20,000 employees with expansion capability to 40,000. This system will be implemented across multiple workforces, including but not limited to FAA Air Traffic Organizations’ Air Traffic Controller and Air Traffic Technician workforces, and the Air Traffic Academy. The FAA currently uses a workforce scheduling system that is developed and maintained by the current contractor. The basis of the system is an underlying COTS workforce planning software tool. Respondents are encouraged to review the attached DRAFT SIR 693KA9-23-00002 and attachments and submit comments/questions no later than 2:00 PM Eastern Time on Friday, January 9, 2023. FAA responses to vendor comments and questions will be posted. All questions must be submitted via email to Francisco A. Felix, francisco.felix@faa.gov and the subject line must state "Draft SIR Response, 693KA9-23-R-00002". Telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
