This Sources Sought notice for The U.S. Department of Transportation (U.S. DOT), John A. Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center), Cambridge, MA, is for information and planning purposes only. The market research information collected resulting from this Sources Sought Notice will be used to help the Government to identify qualified sources capable of accomplishing the required work outlined in the Draft Statement of Requirements under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 334519. The Small Business Size Standard for this NAICS Code is 500 Employees. The notice does not constitute a solicitation for bids, quotations, and proposals, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a competitive contract. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of response to this Sources Sought notice. The Government will use customary means to safeguard proprietary information, but only when such information is (1) clearly marked as proprietary; (2) is, in fact, information that could not have been obtained from another party or source; and (3) is otherwise deserving of such treatment under standards and processes described in the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Executive Order 12600. Description The Volpe Center is?seeking interested vendors who are capable of providing (2) Wabtec GoLINC Precision Reference (HOT - Head of Train units). Interested Contractors should submit a written Statement of Capabilities of sufficient detail demonstrating their capability of providing (2) Wabtec GoLINC Precision Reference (HOT - Head of Train unit) that meet the requirements of the attached DRAFT Specification attachement. Only those Responders that can meet the following criteria should respond to this Sources Sought Notice: Entity is capable of meeting ALL specifications outlined in the attached DRAFT document, Entity has an active CAGE Code, and current registration in the System for Award Management (www.SAM.gov), and Entity does NOT appear on the Excluded Parties List Each response shall reference the Sources Sought title, Contractor's name and the following Contractor information: Point of Contact (along with telephone and email address); Unique Entity ID (UEI) and CAGE Code; Contractor Address; and Business size for NAICS code 334519 as registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and any specific socio-economic category of the entity Interested parties must respond to this announcement in writing by December 22, 2023 at 3:00 PM.
