The U.S. Department of Transportation's Volpe Center intends to establish a multiple-award IDIQ contract for Rail Maintenance and Sustainment services and products in support of the Department of Defense. The contract has an anticipated ordering period of five years from the date of award, with a minimum guarantee of $2,500 per awardee. Required work includes the manufacture, refurbishment, and sustainment of railroad rolling stock, along with engineering and emergency repair services. Performance will occur at contractor facilities and at multiple Government locations throughout the continental United States. The acquisition is full and open competition, and the Government anticipates making multiple awards to both small and large businesses.
