The FRA is conducting a 12-month, firm-fixed-price pilot program/research study on railroad employee fatigue and scheduling practices, as required by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The work will identify fatigue countermeasures and methodologies to maximize alertness and reduce fatigue among railroad system operators. The government will obtain perpetual, non-exclusive, irrevocable rights to all deliverables, and offerors must disclose any third-party intellectual property or licensing restrictions.
