This Sources Sought notice for procurement of an Anchor Handling Winch (see attachment) shall not be construed as a RFQ or as any commitment or obligation on the part of the Government to issue a solicitation. Please read the entire notice and provide all requested information. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on this request, so quotations will not be considered. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests. The U.S. Department of Transportation, Maritime Administration (MARAD) is issuing this Sources Sought notice/synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement for procurement of an Anchor Handling Winch to be delivered at the James River Reserve Fleet shore facilities onboard Fort Eustis Army base compound at 2606 Harrison Road, Newport News VA.
