The FAA is issuing a Request for Information to explore industry capabilities for an aviation spectrum interference detection solution that can monitor RF environments, detect, characterize, and geolocate interference, jamming, spoofing, and other anomalies affecting spectrum-dependent aviation systems across the National Airspace System. An Industry Engagement Day will be held on 13 October 2026 at The MITRE Corporation in McLean, Virginia, followed by optional Vendor One-on-One Sessions on 14–15 October 2026 at the same location. The FAA seeks vendor input on solution capabilities, technology readiness levels, operational implementation phases, rough order of magnitude cost information, and acquisition strategy recommendations. This is a market research effort only and does not commit the FAA to a future acquisition.
