The FAA is conducting a Request for Information to assess industry interest and capabilities for a Spectrum Interference Detection Solution that modernizes real-time detection, characterization, geolocation, and reporting of RF interference, jamming, spoofing, and anomalies affecting spectrum-dependent aviation systems. The desired solution should continuously monitor aviation RF bands, correlate data across sensors, platforms, and locations, retain searchable historical data, support trend and post-event analysis, and be deployable across the National Airspace System, including airport surface, terminal, enroute, CONUS/OCONUS, domestic/oceanic, and ground/airborne environments. The FAA will host an Industry Engagement Day on 13 October 2026 and may hold vendor one-on-one sessions on 14–15 October 2026 at The MITRE Corporation in McLean, VA, with selected vendor notifications by 2 October 2026. This is not a Request for Proposals, the FAA will not pay costs for participation or information, and participation does not promise future business. Registration requires a short survey from one designated vendor point of contact, and respondents should be prepared to describe solution capabilities, addressed aviation spectrum bands, vendor role, technology readiness/maturity, rough order of magnitude cost information, classification approvals, existing users, prime-contractor intent, and suggested acquisition strategy.

Interested vendors should provide a survey response covering their solution’s capabilities, aviation spectrum bands, role, technology readiness level, development phase, rough order of magnitude information, classified-environment approvals, existing users, prime-vendor intent, and acquisition strategy suggestions. This RFI is for market research only, does not commit the FAA to an acquisition, and the FAA will not pay for information or participation costs.
