The purpose of this market survey announcement is to gain a better understanding of the industry and identify available technologies, sources, and level of effort required to meet the requirement. Specifically, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking: Information concerning potential interested vendors and their capability to satisfy FAA’s future requirement. To identify maturity, adaptability, and complexity of currently available RID products in the marketplace that could meet the FAA’s requirements for replacement RID units. Information to consider regarding RID production, testing, implementation, training and sustainment. Information to consider in acquisition planning. Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost information.
