The Suisun Bay Reserve Fleet (SBRF) has a requirement to conduct a hazardous material survey aboard the vessel to determine locations and quantities of hazardous materials/hazardous waste to be removed, including polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB). The CHILKAT (TD-66) is an ex-U.S. Navy, Medium Harbor Tug: Length, overall: 100 feet Breadth, molded: 28 feet Depth, molded: 14 feet, 3 inches. Draft, light: 9 feet, 7 inches Hull Number: TD-66 (ex-YTM-773) Construction: Steel Built: 1946, by Commercial Iron Works, Portland, OR Displacement: 260 LT Propulsion: Single Screw Main Engine(s): Enterprise J-Series, 1250 HP. Hours unknown since last overhaul. Reduction Gear: Morse Chain Marine Transmission Exhaust: Dry Stack Auxiliaries: Generators, (2) Detroit 6-71 series diesel engines driving General Electric 220VDC 60KW generators, (1) Electric Driven Fire Pump, 250 GPM, (2) Worthington Air Compressors PCBs may be found in electrical wiring, ventilation ducting gasket materials, rubber gaskets, adhesives, thermal insulation materials, transformers, oil and grease, fluorescent light ballasts, capacitors, tapes, and coatings. The period of performance is forty-five (45) days after arrival to the Shipyard. Because this craft is not considered deep-seaworthy, all work must be performed on the vessel in the San Francisco Bay area, such area to include the up-river areas of Sacramento and Stockton. This solicitation has been amended to extend the due date to 09AUG22.
