AMENDMENT 1 REMOVES the following clause from the solicitation: 52.219-6, Notice of Total Small Business Set-Aside (Nov 2011) (15 U.S.C.644). The small business set-aside is accordingly dissolved and the solicitation is amended to Unrestricted. The U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD), Oakland, CA intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to a vendor capbable of providing Tug Services at the Suisun Bay Reserve Fleet located at 2595 Lake Herman Rd., Benicia, CA 94510 in accordance with the attached Statement of Work. The requested period of performance is September 20, 2019 to January 31, 2020. A site visit will be conducted at Suisun Bay Reserve Fleet at 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time on Thursday, September 5, 2019. All potential offerors intending to submit an offer should plan to attend site visit. Failure of a prospective offeror to attend the site visit will be construed to mean that the offeror fully understands all requirements of the solicitation. Prospective offerors are advised that the site visit will be held solely to allow offerors an opportunity to gain the best possible understanding of the working environment and specific work items to be addressed under contract in order that they may prepare an accurate and complete price quote. All prospective offerors are advised that at the conclusion of the site visit, unless this solicitation is amended in writing, it will remain unchanged and, that if an Amendment is issued, normal procedures relating to the acknowledgment and receipt of any such amendment shall be applicable.
