This is not a request for bid, and plans/specifications are not available. The project rehabilitates Blue Mesa Road in Gunnison County, CO—within the Curecanti National Recreation Area and providing access to the Bureau of Reclamation Power Plant and Pine Creek Trailhead—by replacing gravel with asphalt, improving drainage/culverts, formalizing ADA parking, signing/striping, ditch reconditioning, and rockfall mitigation. Work includes Schedule A (0.86-mile gravel-to-asphalt plus 0.24-mile asphalt reconstruction), Option X (0.34-mile gravel-to-asphalt from the BOR gate to Blue Mesa Power Plant), and Option Y (2,215 LF of 6-inch HDPE conduit and trenching). Anticipated schedule: advertise November 2026, award January 2027, NTP April 2027, and construction May–October 2027; a non-mandatory site visit is scheduled for November 4, 2026 at 10:00 AM. Estimated cost range is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000.
