The geotechnical drilling work supports future paving of a 4.5-mile unpaved stretch of Johnson Creek Road in San Juan County, Utah. Over a planned two-day period, a contractor-provided two-man crew must complete twenty shallow 5-foot borings and four deep 25-foot borings using a truck-mounted drill rig. The contractor is also fully responsible for providing MUTCD-compliant traffic control during all field operations.
