CA NP MOJA 11(2) 10(2) KELBAKER, KELSO-CIMA, CIMA and MORNING STAR MINE ROADS
This project involves improving approximately 56.5 miles of roads within Mojave National Preserve in San Bernardino County, CA, including resurfacing, restoration, and rehabilitation. Work includes full depth reclamation, new asphalt pavement, roadway widening, low water crossing reinforcements, and safety enhancements on Kelso-Cima, South Kelbaker, and Morningstar Mine Roads. The estimated budget is between $80,000,000 and $120,000,000. The work is in a natural resource sensitive area with environmental constraints affecting the construction schedule and operations. Prior experience on projects of similar magnitude is required.
