PROJECT NUMBER: CA FTFW TULA 500(1) PROJECT NAME: DISCOVERY MARSH TRAIL PROJECT DETAILS: The project is located in the Tule Lake National Wildlife Refuge in Siskiyou County, California, approximately 10 miles southeast of Hatfield, California and the California/Oregon border. The project consists of rehabilitation of approximately 2.34 miles of the existing, asphalt, aggregate, and natural surface trails to provide Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) compliant access. The improvements include minor grading, aggregate surfacing, and sidewalks. Work along this route will take place within environmentally sensitive areas and will require interactions with the US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS). PRINCIPAL WORK ITEMS INCLUDE: Roadway Aggregate Method 2 2,300 TON Roadway Reconditioning 9,000 SQYD Clearing and Grubbing 2.9 ACRE Roadway Excavation 100 CUYD Separation-Stabilization Geotextile, Class 1, Type A 8,000 SQYD Sidewalk 550 SQYD The anticipated advertisement date for the project is February 2023 with construction anticipated from May 2023 to September 2023. The estimated price range is between $700,000 and $2,000,000. This will be solicited as a HUBZone set aside competition.
