PROJECT NUMBER: TX USACE STR ACCESS (1) PROJECT NAME: Town Bluff Structure Access Road PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers own a 0.19-mile access road used to maintain the Town Bluff Dam. This access road has severe drainage damage along the both roadside edges. There are three perpendicular roadway width cracks with 2" to 3" displacement. This 4R project includes the reconstruction and drainage repairs of Structure Access Road and parking area to improve pavement condition as well as to better accommodate roadway drainage. The project includes grading, drainage improvements, placement of crushed aggregate base, asphalt pavement, signing, striping, and other safety-related features necessary to meet current design practices. The project begins at Structure Access Road and intersection with State Highway 92 for 0.19 mile east to the Town Bluff Lake Dam entrance. This project is located in Tyler County, Texas. The estimated price range is between $1 and $2 million. The estimated advertisement is September 2020. CONSTRUCTION DURATION: Anticipated Start: November 2020 Anticipated Completion: January 2021 SIGNIFICANT QUANTITIES: 2,100 CUYD of Subexcavation; 1450 CUYD of Placed Riprap, Method A, Class 3; 300 CUYD of Rock Buttress; 4,500 TON of Roadway Aggregate, Method 2; 500 TON of Asphalt Concrete Pavement, Type 1; 1,450 LN FT of Standard Underdrain System.
