PROJECT NUMBER: NE FTFW FTNI TRAIL (1) PROJECT NAME: Fort Falls Trail PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project is in Fort Niobrara National Wildlife Refuge, which is approximately 5 miles east of Valentine, NE in Cherry County. The project consists of rehabilitation of the Fort Falls trailhead, including the reconstruction of the parking area with new ABA parking pad, construction of an interpretive landing, and the reconstruction of the upper portion of the trail itself. Construction improvements include clearing and grubbing, aggregate base, aggregate reconditioning, concrete pad, concrete trail, signing and striping, and other minor safety improvements. Significant quantities: 120 SQYD Minor concrete pavement 130 SQYD Concrete Sidewalk 55 LNFT of handrail 140 TON roadway aggregate COST RANGE: The proposed project is estimated at a cost between $150,000 and $250,000.
