THIS NOTICE IS BEING ISSUED TO DETERMINE IF THERE IS SUFFICIENT INTEREST FROM QUALIFIED PRIME CONTRACTORS who are Small Businesses, HUBZone small businesses, Woman owned small business concerns, 8(a) small businesses, or Service disabled veteran-owned small businesses and who intend to submit a bid for this solicitation to allow for a set-aside in one of these programs MUST submit the following by e-mail to CFLAcquisitions@dot.gov or by telefax to 720-963-3360 (Attn: Craig Holsopple) for receipt by close of business (2 p.m. local Denver time) on July 17, 2019: (1) A positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation as a Prime Contractor; (2) A copy of the letter from SBA stating date of HUBZone small business certification or acceptance to the 8(a) small business program. In the case of a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Concern, you must provide proof of eligibility (DD form 214 or a letter of adjudication from the Veterans Administration). This information must be provided in order to determine eligibility – DO NOT SEND COPIES OF YOUR SAM PROFILE; (3) Letter from bonding agent stating your firm’s capability to bond for a single project of $12 million, and your firm’s aggregate bonding capacity; and (4) Provide a list of road construction projects of equal or greater value and scope to the AZ FTNP PEFO 10(7), Culvert Repair Petrified Forest project including cold recycle asphalt base course the existing pavement, subgrade preparation, finish grading, asphalt concrete paving, concrete curbing, multi cells box culverts, replacement of CMP culverts, and riprap placement. State whether your firm was the prime contractor or subcontractor on the project. PROJECT DETAILS: AZ FTNP PEFO 10(7) Culvert Repair Petrified Forest This project is located in Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona and includes reconstruction of 12.6 miles of the Main Park road, the installation of multi cells box culverts in three different locations, concrete curb, and installation of 120 culverts located within Petrified National Park. Type of Construction: Main Park Road construction includes but is not limited to cold recycle asphalt base course the existing pavement, subgrade preparation, finish grading, asphalt concrete paving, concrete curbing, replacement of CMP culverts, and riprap placement. This project consists of: Schedule A: Reconstruction of 12.6 miles of Main Park Road, by cold recycled asphalt base course 6” depth, culvert installation, box culvert installation and paving Significant Items for Schedule A Include: 234,000 SY of cold recycled asphalt base course 6” depth of existing pavement, 26,250 tons of hot asphalt concrete paving, 2,300 LNFT 24 inch of Dual wall HDEP culvert, 280 LNFT 36 inch of Dual wall HDEP culvert, 2,855 LNFT 24 inch culvert pipe lining, 240 LNFT 36 inch culvert pipe lining, 180 LNFT 8 feet span by 3 feet rise precast reinforced concrete box culvert, 1000 CUYD roadway excavation, 2,500 CUYD of sub excavation, 9,000 LNFT 12 inch colored concrete curb and 600LNFT Guardrail system G4, type 2 with steel posts. The estimated price range is between $10,000,000 and $12,000,000. The anticipated advertisement date is mid to late October 2019 with construction anticipated from November 2019 through March 2020.
