THIS NOTICE IS BEING ISSUED TO DETERMINE IF THERE IS SUFFICIENT INTEREST FROM QUALIFIED PRIME CONTRACTORS who are Small Businesses, HUBZone small businesses, Woman owned small business concerns, 8(a) small businesses, or Service disabled veteran-owned small businesses and who intend to submit a bid for this solicitation to allow for a set-aside in one of these programs MUST submit the following by e-mail to CFLAcquisitions@dot.gov (Attn: Sheri Walsh) for receipt by close of business (2 p.m. local Denver time) on July 15, 2019: (1) A positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation as a Prime Contractor; (2) A copy of the letter from SBA stating date of HUBZone small business certification or acceptance to the 8(a) small business program. In the case of a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Concern, you must provide proof of eligibility (DD form 214 or a letter of adjudication from the Veterans Administration). This information must be provided in order to determine eligibility - DO NOT SEND COPIES OF YOUR SAM PROFILE; (3) Letter from bonding agent stating your firm's capability to bond for a single project of $8 million, and your firm's aggregate bonding capacity; and (4) Provide a list of road construction projects of equal or greater value and scope to the NV FLAP CR 196(2) Silver Peak Road project in which you performed (as the prime contractor) earthwork, paving, box culverts, concrete headwalls and wingwalls at drainage structures. State whether your firm was the prime contractor or subcontractor on the project. PROJECT DETAILS: NV FLAP CR 196(2) Silver Peak Road The Silver Peak Road project is located on County Road 196 near the town of Silver Peak in Esmeralda County, Nevada. The project consists of 2.44 miles of roadway and drainage improvements. Improvements include construction of new paved road which includes earthwork, paving, box culverts, concrete headwalls, wingwalls at drainage structures. The project is a continuation of a previously completed project that paved CR 196 from the intersection with US 95. The project is outside Silver Peak, NV with the nearest town being Tonopah, NV which is 24 miles North from the project limits. The major work elements include roadway embankment, placement of borrow material, aggregate base, asphalt pavement, paved ditch, site repairs, pre-cast box culverts, concrete headwalls and wingwalls, HDPE culverts, and pavement markings. There will be up to 30 minute delays during construction. Weather conditions typically allow construction to begin in early spring. Disclosure of Magnitude: The anticipated cost range is between $4 million and $8 million.
