This is an information-only market survey for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Agency is looking for a Small Business qualified and capable of providing new locks with the following characteristics: New BHMA grade 1 system (lock with handset and lock core) that accepts a universal 7-pin removable and interchangeable core that can be changed without disassembling the entire core. Battery powered system. No system that requires hard wiring for power to operate. Smart key or electronic key pads are acceptable, but any system must include mechanical key access as well. Weatherproof system capable for install on outside of buildings. This is NOT a request for proposal or quotes, and none will be entertained at this time.
