Offer deadline date is being extended to 5:00PM AT, Monday, June 5, 2023. ___________________________________________________________________ The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking qualified and capable contractors to submit offers for a HVAC Upgrades project at FAA's Flight Service Station (FSS) located in Utqiagvik, Alaska. This procurement is being set aside for a small business under NAICS code 2382220 - Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, which has a small business size standard of $19.0 Million. Project size is estimated under $150,000. ________________________________________ Work included in the project: a) Install two split-system air conditioning units to provide cooling to FAA equipment room and flight services operations areas. b) Relocate humidifier in operations area to serve electronics equipment room. Remove integrated furnace humidifier. c) Demolish and replace natural gas piping in the facility. d) Demolish existing combined exhaust air ductwork serving kitchen and upstairs bathroom. Replace with new dedicated exhaust air ducts for each space. e) Replace existing plumbing vent carrier pipe with new pipe. Provide foam insulation in interstitial space and incorporate passive plumbing vent defroster. Provide new weather tight roofing boot. NOTE: Existing Facility Operations: Barrow FSS provides essential air traffic control services to the flying public.
