There are no other changes and the original bid due date remains the same. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Federal Aviation Administration is issuing this Screening Information Request (SIR) for vegetation control services to provide all labor and equipment to cut all trees/brush to 4 inches above ground level and all grass kept at a 4?inch height at the ITO VOR facility. Work must include trimming of the paved edges around the VOR building and along fences. The facility consists of an area of 72 acres surrounding the facility building; divided into 4 sections, these sections are 18 acres each. Each section extends 500 feet from center of VOR. Each section will have a predetermined month and time (work time) in which it will be cleared. All weeds, rubbish (trees/brush), and debris accumulated during the performance of services specified in the Statements of Work must be placed in areas that are lower than the terrain. These low areas can consist of collapsed lava tubes or breaks in the surface rocks. The requirement is to be performed in accordance with the Statements of Work included as attachments in Section J. The procurement will be awarded as a Firm-fixed Price Contract with the NAICS code of 561730.

Contractor shall also provide transportation to and from work site for contractor personnel. Clear the area within a 1000 foot radius of the center of VOR facility; approximately 72 acres in four 18-acre sections. Each section will have a predetermined month and time (work time) in which it will be cleared. All trees/brush shall be cut 4 inches above ground level. All grass will be kept at a 4 inch height. Work shall include trimming of the paved edges around the VOR building and along fence. All refuse and rubbish, such as fallen trees, pruned tree limbs, shrubbery, cuttings and leaves resulting from the contractor's work, shall be removed from the FAA area surrounding the Hilo International Airport and hauled away to a proper landfill.
