The Federal Aviation Administration is issuing this Screening Information Request (SIR) for bi-annual tree trimming and vegetation control services around the UPP VOR antenna to prevent interference of the radiated signal from the antenna. The tree coverage is mostly made up of tall Ironwood up to 60 feet tall. The terrain is on the mountaintop and the trimmed areas are very steep which requires extra efforts to get to. The requirement is to be performed in accordance with the Statements of Work included as attachments in Section J. The procurement will be awarded as a Firm-fixed Price Contract with the NAICS code of 561730.

The purpose of this project is to trim trees twice a year and remove shrubs, grass, and other vegetation, or obstructions surrounding the UPP VOR antenna to prevent interference of the radiated signal from the antenna. The tree coverage is mostly made up of tall Ironwood up to 60 feet tall. The terrain is on the mountaintop and the trimmed areas are very steep which requires extra efforts to get to. The contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, material, equipment, transportation, and other services needed to perform all tasks under this contract.
