The FAA is conducting this Market Survey to determine the level of interest in the subject project. This is for planning purposes only, and no contract of any kind will result from this announcement. Project value is between $750,000.00 and 1,500,000.00. Life-safety upgrade for the existing Airport Traffic Control Tower’s (ATCT’s) and terminal buildings at the OAKLAND COUNTY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (PTK) and further include all work necessary to improve the architectural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems to comply with OSHA regulation 29 CFR 1960.20. The work as generally outlined below shall include, but not be limited to: a. Installation and testing of new fire detection/alarm system and demolition of the existing fire alarm system in the ATCT and the terminal building. b. Modifications to and testing of existing fire suppression system in the ATCT and the base building as shown on drawings.on drawings. d. Replacement or modification, repair, patching, painting, refinishing, resurfacing of existing walls, partitions, and/or ceilings, as required. e. Sealing off existing and/or newly made penetrations or openings through walls, floors, soffit, etc. with fire-stop sealant(s), caulks, mortars, mineral/ceramic wool, gypsum wallboard, and/or masonry. f. Application of sprayed-on fireproofing materials or intumescent paint to protect steel structures or hatches as shown on drawings. g. Installation of new louvers, dampers, fire doors, and related hardware and electrical gear, or modification/repair of existing doors, dampers, etc., as r as shown on drawings. h. Training for personnel assigned by the FAA. i. Preparation of documentation describing as-built configuration and operation and maintenance of systems and equipment and warranty of the work. 1. The Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment and services, (except those specifically referenced as Government-furnished to perform the work included in the Construction Documents. The Contractor shall complete the construction in 150 calendar days, start to finish.
