NOTICE OF INTENT TO CONTRACT WITH A SINGLE SOURCE: The Federal Aviation Administration intends to award a single source contract to FlightSafety International. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center proposes to acquire Pilatus PC-24 Pilot Qualification Training. The acquisition will utilize single source procedures. In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System, AMS 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source when it is determined to be in the best interest of the FAA. The only known owner of the simulator required for the training is FlightSafety International; as such, FlightSafety is the only known source capable of meeting the FAA’s need. This announcement is for informational purposes only and not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. This requirement will be awarded to FlightSafety and is not available for full and open competition.
