The FAA is conducting a market survey to identify sources capable of supplying ASR-8 and ASR-9 encoders, which are critical radar antenna components. Sensor Systems LLC is currently the only approved manufacturer, and qualifying an alternate source would cause extended operational outages. Interested vendors must submit a capability statement, ISO 9001:2015 certification, proof of SAM registration, and other required documentation.
