(BEI), Maumelle, AR, for the acquisition, repair and refurbishment of AS... The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source contract to BEI Precision Systems and Space Co. Inc. (BEI), Maumelle, AR, for the acquisition, repair and refurbishment of ASR-11 Encoder, manufacturer part number # BIC35-14G6, NSN:5865-01-512-6746 for support of 157 ASR-11 field Radar sites operated by the FAA, the United States Air Force, the United States Navy, the United States Army, and the United States Marine Corps. Each of these ASR-11 Radars is equipped with optical rotary encoders installed in the rotary joint to provide azimuth and synchronization control for the antenna of the Radar. In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System Paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. Raytheon Canada Limited owns all proprietary data rights for the ASR-11 system and has released under agreement those rights to BEI Precision Systems and Space Co. Inc.; necessary to accomplish any repair, manufacture and/or operational testing for the Encoder: NSN: 5865-01-5126756, Part Number: BIC35-14G6 for ASR-11 radar systems, BEI Precision is the single source vendor for the specified repair of spares. A market survey (6973GH-23-MS-00005) was posted to the SAM.gov web site on December 8, 2022. No responses were received in response to the market survey. The proposed principle North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 334511 Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1250 employees.
