REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) / SOURCES SOUGHT The Government is issuing the RFI/sources sought announcement as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support for the procurement of fabricated structural steel in support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)’s replacement of an existing navigational aid in North Myrtle Beach, SC. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The Government is seeking information from companies with the capabilities of the manufacturing and erecting, as required, of the structural steel components utilizing steel sourced from the United States of America, and to be made available without an appreciable delay after the time of contract award. Responses should include availability, a rough order of magnitude (ROM) and lead time of the materials. All interested parties are encouraged to submit the following: company and product literature, and/or other pertinent information, i.e., description with performance parameters and a statement of current availability, summary of applicable references. Responses to the Market Survey shall include the following: Company Name Company Address Point of contact (POC) POC telephone number Business size Announcement number Tailored capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort, with appropriate documentation supporting claims of organizational and staff capability, and material and manufacturing capacity. Contractors must be properly registered in the Government System for Award Management database (SAM.gov). This RFI/sources sought does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the government. The US Government is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to the announcement. Submission of any information in response to this market survey is voluntary. BASED ON THE REPSONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE / MARKET RESEARCH, THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE SET-ASIDE FOR A SMALL DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS (SDB) OR PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION IN THE FUTURE.
