The FAA is seeking interest from industry to participate in a competitive award process for air freight services to deliver construction materials defined in the attachment of this announcement as follows: ORIGIN (Pick-Up): Anchorage, AK (ANC) DESTINATION (Drop-Off): Eareckson Air Station on Shemya Island, AK (SMY) Contractor must provide all aircraft, crew and maintenance personnel, fuel, fees, loading equipment at point of origin, and any other incidentals to provide air charter service of the list of cargo attached to this announcement. Contractor must also provide insurance liability for cargo with estimated total value between $300 – $350K. Cargo must be accepted by the contractor at the point of Origin not later than 24 May 2022 and delivered to destination not later than 31 May 2022. Contractor will be responsible for providing a point of acceptance and loading of cargo at Anchorage (ANC). Contractor will not be responsible for unloading cargo from aircraft at destination (SMY). This announcement is NOT a request for quote or proposal of any kind. The FAA is seeking only statements of interest and capability currently. The anticipated date of solicitation release is MAY 6, 2022. The anticipated date of award is on or around MAY 12, 2022. INTERESTED POTENTIAL OFFERORS ARE REQUESTED TO PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: - Statement of interest in submitting a proposal. - Statement of technical capability; please state that your company can provide all aspects of the scope of this work. - Statement of capability to provide proof of liability insurance coverage for cargo up to $400K on short notice. - CAGE Code to assist correct SAM registration verification. Potential set-aside for small businesses or small disadvantaged businesses has not yet been determined. Responses to this announcement may assist the FAA in determining if such set-asides are in the FAA’s best interest. Regardless, this requirement is anticipated to be awarded via competitive award process. The FAA anticipates awarded a single contract to the lowest price offeror determined eligible for award. Any activities or costs associated with offerors proposal development and submission thereof is at the risk of the offeror and will not be reimbursed by the FAA. The FAA reserves the right to cancel this RFQ at any time and at no cost to the FAA. All submittals should be submitted via email to the POC of this announcement as soon as possible, but not later than COB MAY 5, 2022.
