AMENDMENT 0001 DATED MAY 26, 2021: THIS AMENDMENT PROVIDES ANSWERS TO INDUSTRY'S QUESTIONS ALONG WITH MINOR CHANGES TO THE SOLICIATION. THE DUE DATE OF JUNE 4, 2021, 1700 EST REMAINS UNCHANGED. ORIGINAL NOTICE: The Federal Aviation Administration, (FAA) is currently responsible for aviation weather observation services at selected airports throughout the United States. FAA intends to satisfy this responsibility in part, through the use of the Automated Surface Observing System (ASOS) and contract weather observer (CWO) personnel. This solicitation is to acquire the services of weather observer personnel who will provide augmentation and/or back up to the Automated Observing Systems, and to take manual observations as necessary. The FAA intends to award eleven (11) contracts under this SIR (i.e. 1 award per group). No more than two groups may be awarded to a single business as described in section L.6 in the solicitation. The principle North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 541990, All Other Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services, with a size standard of $16.5 million. This competitive solicitation is set aside for small business, for award of indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contracts.
