Intent to Single Source: The Federal Aviation Administration(FAA) has a requirement for acquisition of one (1) complete PD-100 Black Hornet SUAS system, one (1) complete Skyraider R80D SUAS system and two (2) complete Skyraider R80D SUAS Mission Kits. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source purchase order to FLIR Systems, Inc., 25 Esquire Road, North Billerica, MA, 01862 (DUNS 146488635) is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of these SUAS systems (FLIR bought Aeryon Defense, who was the prior OEM for the Skyraider R80D SUAS systems). In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. U.S Tower is the original equipment manufacturer for the equipment. This is in the best interest of the FAA because it provides the best means of meeting configuration management requirements. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement.
