The purpose of this Announcement Amendment is to amend the SIR (see attachment), extend the SIR close date to 11/18/2019 and answer questions from industry (see attachment). This announcement is for the posting of solicitation 6973GH-19-R-00236 for the Asbestos Abatement Monitoring and Project Oversight at Air Route Surveillance Radar (ARSR) sites throughout the United States. This solicitation is set aside for small businesses. The NAICS code applicable to this requirement is 562910 Exception 2 Environmental Remediation Services. The business size standard for this NAICS is 750 employees. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is requesting project oversight and environmental monitoring by a licensed independent third party environmental monitoring firm. The work shall be performed under the direct supervision of a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) employed by the environmental monitoring firm for Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) abatement projects at FAA facilities. The FAA is contracting an environmental monitoring firm to provide comprehensive oversight for ACM abatement project management and monitoring at the 39 ARSR sites listed in the Statement of Work.
