MODIFICATION 0001 ISSUED TO ADD SIR TO ANNOUNCEMENT REQUEST FOR OFFER BALLOON MAINTENANCE TRAINING 6973GH-19-R-00058 No Set-aside The contractor is to provide their existing commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Balloon Maintenance training course to FAA ASI’s. Training shall not exceed 40 hours. If the training includes scheduled flights in the balloon, the FAA employees are not authorized to operate the balloon in any capacity. They are only there to observe. The tuition cost should be based on a per student basis and all travel and per diem costs for the students will be the responsibility of the FAA. Student quotas for this course will be assigned by the Flight Standards Workforce Development, AFB-500 and/or Aircraft Certification Service – Enterprise Operations Division AIR-900. FAA formal training consists of training courses with agency level course numbers (FAA29307) that will be officially recorded in the employee’s personnel records.
