The FAA’s Research and Commercial Solutions Opening (RCSO) Area of Interest (AOI) seeks innovative research and solutions for Complexity of Systems and Operations, with objectives detailed in Sections 5.1–5.6. Innovation includes new technology, processes, or methods as of proposal submission, or new applications of existing ones. The FAA is not obligated to issue a request for proposal or make an award; awards depend on available funds and successful negotiations. This AOI does not authorize performance or obligate the government for costs incurred in developing a response.
