The FAA is conducting a market survey to gather industry input on future Controller to Pilot Data Link Communication (CPDLC) services, which will replace the current Data Communication Integrated Services (DCIS) contract after it expires on September 30, 2029. The services support airports and en route airspace across the Continental United States (CONUS), and the FAA is considering one or multiple 10-year contracts. The agency seeks feedback on acquisition design, operations, technology, and transition strategies, and plans to hold an Industry Day in late summer or early fall, with a Screening Information Request anticipated in Q2 FY2029.
