The FAA is conducting a market survey for Remote Monitoring and Maintenance Capability (RMMC) systems for PAPI, REIL, ALSF-2, and MALSR visual guidance lighting systems. The agency currently uses a CASS for TDM-to-IP conversion and is seeking industry input on interfaces between the VGLS and CASS to transmit up to 30 analog or digital data points per system. Interested parties are asked to identify non-developmental items, the level of effort required for development, innovative solutions, and to provide Rough Order of Magnitude cost estimates for implementation. This is a request for information to help determine available technology and approaches.
