FAA Request for Information (RFI) Alaska Automation Capability (AAC) Challenge Based
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking innovative solutions to modernize the Alaska Flight Service Automation System, replacing its legacy system with a modern, web-based cloud automation system. This effort, called the Alaska Automation Capability (AAC), supports a broader plan for a new air traffic control system and focuses on evaluating solutions for safety, efficiency, and innovation. The services are to be performed in support of Alaska Flight Service, which operates three hub and fourteen satellite facilities throughout the state of Alaska. The primary role is to supply weather information, aeronautical data, and flight planning services to a wide range of aviation customers.
